Lust For A Mountain Reflection(A tale by Sky Pilago Joyner)

Up in the mountains, its a whole different world up there. Places that hold great mysteries to behold and new sights that keep the soul searching for more wonderful things to enjoy. Where the snow melts in July, life is abundant and colorful. Flowers of many sorts range from the spring-like meadows that surround the lakes, to the steep cliff-sides that holds the ecosystem intact. Producing strong aromas of sweet and soothing scents that cleanses the soul and mind. Grand rock structures are an enticing sight that never loses luster of amazement. Snow drifts cling to their last collection points, feeding the lakes and the ecosystem with clean, fresh water. The scent of the evergreen forest swept through the forest ensnares my pioneering insights. Insects of many sorts hatch from the many sources around the lakes, drawing out occupants of the lake to feed in the shallows. Cutthroat Trout feed on the mass insect hatches that land on the waters surface, dimples all across a meandering channel with embellishments of green and white mosaic reflections. The elegant Cutthroat showing elegant appearances of crimson red signifies the marine environment is now optimal for spawning conditions, and handling fish must be done extra respectable and quick to reduce population impacts. Be one with nature, not against it…..
As my dad and I cast a dry fly through the mountain air. Laying a fly line softly onto the crystal clear flat, short amounts of patience reward us with a beautiful native trout rising to our fly in a unique act of nature. A resource such as this cant be lost and must be protected from human greed and negligence. Reflections on a mountain lake changes somebody inside. It fulfills the spirit of being a human with dignifying gratitude above most peoples comprehension. Contrasts of color that complete me in a vast environment.
Our fat tire motorcycles traversed through the rugged terrain and old rocky mining roads with ease, carrying us to new views and experiences we would not have seen otherwise. Lightly crawling over the land as if were not there. A beautiful connection between two lakes providing a healthy ecosystem full of natural phenomenons worth seeing if you know where to look. A very fun motorcycle ride with my dad in some of the most wondrous country around………
